2008 AMERICAN BUSINESS AWARDSSM
6th Annual Stevie® Awards will be Presented on June 12 in New York City

NEW YORK, NY (June 2, 2008)
Michael C. Fina was named a finalist today in the Best Manage-ment Team category of The 2008 American Business Awards.

Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” (New York Post, April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business.

“It is an honor for us to be finalists for the second consecutive year,” said Charles Fina, executive vice president, Michael C. Fina. “We remain committed to offering high-quality employee recognition tools for our clients, and it is extremely gratifying to be recognized for our accomplishments.”

Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Thursday, June 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  More than 600 executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend.  The ceremonies will be broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network and hosted by Liz Claman of FOX Business Network.

More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best New Product or Service, Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program, and new categories including Best Management Team and Best Corporate Environmental Responsibility Program. Michael C. Fina will be competing in the Best Management Team category.

Brothers, Charles and George Fina, have served a lifetime working, running and now leading the family-owned, Michael C. Fina.  They have dedicated their time to developing innovative technologies that provide the best employee recognition solutions and services available to their customers.  They realize the value of their employees and acknowledge them with internal recognition programs and stress the same message externally to their clients.

As innovators, Charles and George’s efficient web-based solution works seamlessly in any business environment and is customized to meet each customer’s needs. Their advanced online recognition tools are used to implement efficient and effective interactive solutions, which has changed the way companies recognize their employees.

In a final judging during the week of May 19, members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors, and their staffs, will select Stevie Award winners from among the finalists.   The finalists were selected by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging from April through early May.

ABA entries grew more than 30% this year, so being named a finalist is more of an accomplishment than ever before,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards.  “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition.  We congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition.”
