COMPANIES REPORT ‘COST’ OF RECOGNITION PROGRAMS AND ‘QUALITY’ OF MERCHANDISE ARE NUMBER ONE CONCERNS

Surveys Reveal Most Companies Plan To Implement ‘Years of Service’ and ‘Achievement Recognition Awards’ This Year

NEW YORK, NY (August 23, 2006) — Michael C. Fina, the fastest growing employee recognition company in North America, announced today the results of a survey of over 2,000 human resource executives that attended the 2006 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Conference and Exposition this past June.

When asked what the most important factor is in selecting an employee recognition program, 47.3% of respondents said, “cost of the program” and “quality of rewards” were the top factors in their decision-making. The results of the 2006 survey were very similar to the same survey that was conducted in 2005 among SHRM show attendees, therefore showing a continued focus on Return on Investment.

The survey further revealed that out of six primary recognition initiatives (Years of Service, Retirement, Peer-to-Peer Nominations, Achievement Awards, Points based Total Recognition and Safety) 66% of respondents indicated that “Years of Service” and “Achievement Award” programs would be implemented within the company during the 2006-2007 periods.

Michael A. Fina, vice president of Michael C. Fina, said that he was pleased with the results of the survey because Fina is a market leader in providing corporations with the highest quality gifts and awards through its innovative employee recognition programs.

“We have cost-effective, state-of-the-art recognition programs to fit the needs and budgets of multi-national corporations,” said Fina. The programs include everything from Years of Service, Peer-to-Peer Nominations, Safe Driving and Injury Prevention to New Baby Gifts, Employee Referrals/Suggestions plus Holiday and Business Gifts.
